6 Things to Do While Working From Home
We are all in this together these days as we are all staying at home. While the gray uncertainty of when normalcy will return is unknown, it is always helpful to try to quantify as much as we can in the meantime. Here are 6 tips for things to do while spending time at home.
Create a schedule
Nothing will be more boring or frustrating if you just decide to do things when you feel like it with this much time being spent at home. Much less this will not help you achieve your goals. Keep normalcy in your daily routine by getting up early, showering, eating regular and healthy meals at scheduled times with a task list to accomplish in between. Crossing off your to do’s after they are done is always gratifying.
Update customer database
Everyone has some form of a database from something basic to a more sophisticated CRM. Take the extra down time and make sure you update your system. If you are guilty of not having something concrete, start with a simple excel document and build off of that.
Send email campaigns
Don’t leave your contacts in the dark. While nobody knows exactly how or when this pandemic will unfold, reach out to your sphere of influence to check on them while providing them with any useful information or updates that you can. While we don’t have a crystal ball to tell us how the market will recover, we do have historic data to share as a comparison.
Post helpful, informative social media content
Similar to email campaigns, your social media content should also reflect helpful information, updates or light and pertinent content to entertain your followers. With so many people doing house projects at home now these can be great tips to share.
Update your personal website
It can be hard to stay on top of your marketing efforts when you are busy during the year. Take some time now and audit your personal website. Is your bio updated? Do you need to update testimonials or photos? You might just want to begin posting blogs now too!
